One of my responsibilities as your personal yoga coach is teaching you how to safely and effectively utilize each pose to maximize their physical and mental benefits. You will get to know the different poses, proper alignment of those poses, appropriate modifications for your level of experience, and how to mindfully transition between them.
Pranayama is already an important part of asana, or the physical poses of yoga, but to the students out there who are curious to dive deeper, I love offering classes that are specifically focused around breath and energy regulation. I will teach you simple pranayama practices during private classes that you can use to help boost your mood and energy, achieve deeper relaxation, and cultivate a sense of balance.
A regular mindfulness practice extends benefits far beyond the yoga mat, promoting heightened mental clarity, emotional balance, and stress reduction in everyday life. Even if meditation is something you have been personally avoiding or find difficult wrapping your head around, I will teach you how to make this practice accessible, and align it perfectly with your lifestyle.
I enjoy working with students who are new to yoga and guiding them through the fundamentals, as well as teaching foundational techniques and principles that will enhance the connection they have with their body. If you are a beginner level yoga student, I can help you cultivate more awareness and a better understanding of the practice, building your confidence and moving you out of the starting gate.
